Program of Activities
Project Overview:
You will help develop a section of your chapter’s Program of Activities.
Directions:
1. Your instructor will divide the class into three groups and distribute the Program of Activities Student Handout. Review the handout.
2. Each group will be assigned a division of the POA.
3. As a group, develop a description of what your assigned POA divisions means to your FFA chapter.
4. Once your group has completed the description, your instructor will further divide your group into smaller groups or pairs.
5. Each group will be assigned a standard within their POA division.
6. As a group or pair, develop one FFA activity, event or competition which will satisfy your assigned standard.
7. Write a one-page description of this activity or event.
8. The paper should explain the following:
· The name of the activity or event
· Where it will take place
· Who will be involved in the activity or event
· Why this activity satisfies the standard and division of the POA
· How a committee would be set up to plan and organize this event
9. Each group will present their idea, including the description explaining the POA division in which their standard is found.
10. Turn in your project as directed by your instructor.
