Engineering Hiring Spree
Project Overview:
You will assume the role of CEO of an engineering firm to create job postings and interview questions so you can hire several engineering professionals.
Directions:
1. Use all available resources to research various engineering companies. For each engineering specialty listed in the table below, identify one relevant company and write one sentence to summarize the work they do.
2. Based on your research, determine the specialty of the engineering firm you are the CEO of and create a name for the company.
3. Write a two- to four-sentence description of your engineering company. Make sure to create a name for your company.
4. Your company needs to hire engineers, engineering technologists and engineering technicians in this hiring spree. Write a job posting for each position. Each professional will be responsible for different tasks and the job descriptions should represent this. The job postings must include the following:
· Job title
· Job description with five unique responsibilities
· Qualifications with:
- education requirements
- certification requirements, if applicable
- three unique skills desired
· Salary range
- perform additional research as necessary to ensure your salary is competitive
5. Develop a list of three interview questions for each job title you are hiring. For example, engineer, engineering technologist and engineering technician.
6. Once completed, turn in your activity according to your instructor’s directions.
