Project Overview:

You will write a biographical essay on an entrepreneur with details on their motivations, goals and mission to define an entrepreneur. You should also explain the contributions their innovations have made to society.

 

Directions:

1.   Identify an entrepreneur and research their biography in the space below. Check with your instructor to ensure classmates are not researching the same entrepreneur.

 

2.   Research the entrepreneur’s background, including where they grew up and the circumstances of their upbringing. Summarize how their background relates to their motivations, goals and mission.

 

3.   Identify any entrepreneurship trends related to their work:

·        Identify trends the entrepreneur uses

·        Explain how applying the trend helps the company and provides evidential support

−     for example, do entrepreneurs receive more customers because they make “green” products or do they have a loyal following, which allows for better crowdfunding

 

4.   Analyze the following about the entrepreneur:

·        Innovation of the entrepreneur and summarize how the innovation impacted society

·        The secondary impacts the innovation had on society

·        How the entrepreneur contributed to the economy

 

5.   Write a biographical essay on a separate sheet of paper based on your research notes and cite all sources used.

 

6.   Once completed, turn in your research notes and biographical essay according to your instructor’s directions.
